Wall shelf with brackets
Two shelves carried on a pair of upright strips that fix to the wall. Each shelf rests on small L-shaped brackets. The brackets screw to the uprights and the shelves screw to the brackets; how the two pieces of each bracket are joined is left to you.
It is an approachable build: short, straight cuts in three-quarter-inch stock and no joint more demanding than a screwed butt joint. It is good practice in careful marking out, because the brackets must line up for the shelves to sit level.
The model does not show how the uprights are fixed to the wall. Choose fixings that suit your wall and the weight you plan to put on the shelves.
