Gallery terms
What the gallery is
The GrainDraft gallery is a collection of woodworking projects that you can open in GrainDraft or download as .graindraft files. It is free and needs no account. Each project is a computer model: the parts, sizes and joints its maker drew. Some listings were added by GrainDraft; others were published by people who use it, and say so on their page.
Projects are offered as they are
A gallery project is a model, not a tested or certified plan. It is provided as is, without a warranty of any kind. Nobody has checked a listing for strength, safety or fitness for any particular use, and a listing is not professional advice.
The facts on a project page (overall size, part count, board feet, woods and joints) are calculated from the model. The lumber cost is an estimate at GrainDraft's default prices, not a quote.
Check every dimension
Before you buy or cut wood, check every dimension, joint and material against your own stock, your tools and the place the piece will stand. Boards are rarely the exact size their label says, and a model cannot know what you have. A listing marked “Dimensions not confirmed” has sizes that were never checked against a real piece.
Woodworking is at your own risk
Woodworking tools can cause serious injury. You are responsible for how you build and use anything based on a gallery project, including following the instructions for your tools and using their guards and protective equipment. To the extent the law allows, GrainDraft is not liable for injury, loss or damage that comes from using a gallery project.
Licence
Unless a project page says otherwise, gallery projects are shared under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, change, build and share a project, including commercially, as long as you give credit, link to the licence and say whether you changed it. Each project page suggests a credit line.
The licence covers the project file and its picture as far as copyright applies to them. It does not cover the GrainDraft name or logo.
If you publish a project
When you publish a project to the gallery you confirm that the design is yours to share, and that its title, description, names and notes contain nothing private, unlawful or offensive. You keep your rights in it. You license it to everyone under the licence above, and you give GrainDraft permission to store, display and distribute it as part of the gallery.
GrainDraft looks at every submission before it appears, and may decline or remove any listing. Looking at a submission is not a check of its dimensions, strength or safety. You can withdraw your listing at any time from the window you published it from; the licence you gave for copies already made continues.
Reporting a listing
Every community project page has a Report this listing link. Reports are read by a person. A report does not hide a listing by itself.
Asking for a listing to be removed
If you believe a listing uses your work without permission, or should not be listed for another reason, email qazi.f.abid@gmail.com with the address of the project page and the reason. We read every request and remove a listing when the request is justified. Removing a listing cannot recall copies that people have already opened or downloaded.
Changes
Listings can be added, changed or removed at any time, and these terms can change. The date at the top of this page shows when they last did. How this website and the app handle your own projects is described in Privacy and Your projects.
