Dining table with splayed legs
A four-foot dining table with a thick top with rounded corners, on shaped legs that splay outward in both directions. The aprons are fixed to the legs with pocket-hole screws.
The splay is what makes it demanding. Each leg leans five degrees two ways, so every apron end is a compound angle, and the legs themselves are cut to a curved profile. It is a good project for learning to work to angles that are not square.
The top is not joined to the base in the model. Fasten it in a way that lets a wide solid top move with the seasons.
