Writing desk with two drawers
A slim writing desk with tapered legs and two shallow drawers under the top. The frame is joined with mortise and tenon joints, and each drawer is a box-jointed box that runs on wooden runners.
It is a demanding build with a lot to teach: seventeen mortise and tenon joints, two drawers to fit to their openings, and the runners, cleats and stops that guide them. Take it on after a simpler table.
Open it to see how the drawer boxes, runners and stops fit inside the frame before you commit to cutting.
